5 DAYS Queen Elizabeth national park and Murchison falls national park safari takes you to the wonderful wildlife safari destinations on a Uganda safari. Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
- On the first day of 5 days Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison falls national park. Your driver guide will meet you either at Entebbe International Airport or at your hotel, he will welcome you and give you a briefing about the 5 days safari. From there you will embark and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park that takes 6 to 7 hours. Along the way you will have a stopover at Kayabwe at the equator to take the pictures and have the stunning equator experience. You will proceed until Mbarara town where you will have enroute lunch at Igongo cultural Centre. After reaching Queen Elizabeth national park you will check in either at Mweya safari lodge for luxury or Enganzi game lodge for mid-range for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
- On the second day of 5 days Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison falls national park. You will wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast. After you will meet with your driver guide and go for the morning game drive in Kasenyi plains to see the early raisers including the lions, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs and many more and observing various bird species including black kite, Hammerkop, Raptor, cattle egret, Ring necked dove, wattled Lapwing, Pied crow and among other. After you return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will meet your driver guide and takes for the afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga channel to observe the large schools of hippos, crocodiles, various bird species like African fish eagle, Yellow bellied stork, Egptian goose, pelicans and others plus sighting other animal species along the river banks like elephants while drinking water. After the activity you will meet with your guide and takes you back to the above lodge for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Murchison Falls national park.
- On the third day of 5 days Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison falls national park. Get up early in the morning and be served with breakfast, then you will meet with your guide and transfer you to Murchison falls national park. This journey will take you 7 to 8 hours with the stopover in Kagadi where you will have the enroute lunch, from their you will embark in your journey to Murchison falls national park and check in your lodge for the evening relaxation, dinner and overnight stay that is Paara safari lodge, Pakuba safari lodge.
Day 4: Game drive and Afternoon Boat cruise.
- On the fourth day of 5 days Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison falls national park. Wake up early in the morning and be served with breakfast, after breakfast meet with your safari guide and go for the early morning game drive, this is where you will spot the park’s marvelous animal species the early raisers including the elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, bushbucks, waterbucks, warthogs grazing in the savannah plains. And bird species like Grey crowned crane, shoebill stork, Black-headed lapwing, Abyssinian ground hornbill and among others. After the game drive your driver will take you back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will be taken for the afternoon boat cruise at River Nile in Murchison falls national park where you will have the incredible safari experience and you will spot the large concentration of hippos and crocodiles in water beautiful bird species like Shoebill stork, Great blue Turaco, Goliath heron, dwarf Kingfisher and others. Plus animal species along the water shores while taking water like elephants, warthogs, antelopes, buffaloes and others. After the boat cruise you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay in the above lodges.
Day 5: Visiting Ziwa rhino sanctuary and departure.
- On the fifth day of 5 days Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison falls national park. Wake up early in the morning and be served with a leisurely breakfast and check out. Meet your guide driver to Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will do rhino trekking, watching the rhinos grazing nearby you with enroute lunch at kabalega diner limited. After rhino tracking you will proceed with your journey until Kampala where your safari guide will drop you at any place of your convenience that is either at Entebbe International Airport or at your lodge.
