Day 1: Transfer to Akagera national park and a full game drive.
On the first day of 1 day Akagera National Park Safari. As early as 5am in the morning, after an early morning rise. Your Rwanda safari guide will collect you up at your hotel and give you a briefing of the one day Akagera National Park and then transfer you to Akagera National Park.
Enjoy a game drive in Akagera National Park that will give you the opportunity to observe a variety of animals in the park, including the magnificent big five mammals such as the lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards and other the various animals that rise early to graze, such as the gazelles, bush bucks, topis, carnivores such as the lions, leopards searching for their prey, hyenas, leopards catching their prey in the wild, and many other animal species.
In the wilderness, you will have the opportunity to observe a number of rewarding features. Enjoy game viewing along the lakes and see hippopotamuses, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, including Amur falcon, Black-crowned night heron, Blue-spotted wood dove, Booted eagle, Cardinal quelea, Caspian plover, Crested barbet, Caspian plover, Dimorphic egret, Marsh owl, Martial eagle, Papyrus gonolek, Red-faced barbet, Red-winged francolin, endangered shoe-billed stork; African King Fishers catching their prey in the lake; and other species that inhabit the lake and the adjacent swamps. You will be served with the bush lunch as your spotting to the beautiful landscape that surrounds the park.
