5 Days Bwindi Gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari from Kigali  : The 5-day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking and Lake Mburo National Park Safari departs from Kigali and includes stops at some of Uganda’s most well-known primate and wildlife attractions, such as Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to the critically endangered mountain gorillas. According to records, Bwindi Forest is home to half of these gorillas on the world, with the remaining individuals being shared by Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The majority of antelope species may be found in Lake Mburo National Park without forgetting the zebras, which is a small savannah national park. Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Pick-up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

On the first day of 5 Days Bwindi Gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari from Kigali. Your driver guide when you arrive in Kigali in the morning or depending on where you are in Kigali, will welcome you and give you a brief introduction of the safari and you will then be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. With the beautiful vistas of the rolling Rwandan hills, the drive from Kigali city often takes between four and five hours. This is thrilling and enchanted. Cross the border into Uganda at Katuna. With the lunch enroute in Kabale town. After you will head to Bwindi and check into your accommodation where you will be welcomed by the welcomed by the caring staff, and rest for the day while getting ready for the activity the following day. You be served with dinner and overnight stay.

 Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community tour and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

On the second day of 5 Days Bwindi Gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari from Kigali. Wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, together with your packed lunch meet your safari driver to take you to the park headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations to do during gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be divided into different groups of eight members per group and with the company of well experienced park ranger that is familiar with the trekking trails and then go on your adventure into the jungle to look for the mountain gorillas. This activity takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the family being visited and their movement. There is no way to predict where these primates will be at any one time as they are allowed to freely explore the park while looking for food. Once you locate them, you will have an hour to observe and photograph these kind primates before returning to your driver/guide and taking the transport back to your lodge.

Batwa People

Batwa Community tour and transport to Lake Bunyonyi: After one hour of trekking, you have the option of doing a village or community tour to the Batwa people or leaving the lodge and travelling to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in East Africa and a lake that is bilharzia-free and suitable for swimming. Once you arrive Lake Bunyonyi connect to your lodge and then check in for some downtime, dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 3: Explore Lake Bunyonyi and transfer to Lake Mburo national park.

On the third day of 5 Days Bwindi Gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari from Kigali. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast, connect to take a boat cruise to explore Lake Bunyonyi and visit some of the lake’s unique islands that is such intriguing and after enjoying the boat cruise you have lunch and then proceed to Lake Mburo the smallest savanna park. Along the way you will have the amazing sightings of the landscape and once you arrive, you will check into your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive and Boat cruise. 

On the fourth day of 5 Days Bwindi Gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari from Kigali. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast, meet your safari guide and go early morning game drive in search of the early risers. On a good day, you might sight the lions, while leopards are actually infrequently spotted and must be found by luck. Don’t forget to bring your camera along so you can capture every moment of your incredible game drive and see animals like impalas, zebras, waterbucks, oribi, buffaloes, and giraffes, to name a few. This will help you preserve all of your memories for all time. After the morning game drive go back to your lodge and take lunch.

After lunch, you will have a leisurely and educational boat cruise on Lake Mburo. The lake is a fantastic place for bird observation and sport fishing. After return in the evening to the lodge to take dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala.

On the fifth day of 5 Days Bwindi Gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari from Kigali. Get up early in the morning and take breakfast. After breakfast, check out and make your way to Kampala with a stopover in Kayabwe for equator experience and lunch enroute, where your safari will come to an end. Driving from Lake Mburo National Park to Kampala takes 4-5 hours. If you have a flight, your safari guide will leave you off at the spot you specify, or better yet, at Entebbe International Airport.
