Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro: The Ultimate Adventure
Summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, is a dream for many adventurers. Towering over northern Tanzania, Kilimanjaro is part of Kilimanjaro National Park and spans around 100 square kilometres, with a width of 65 kilometres. Formed three million years ago during the creation of the East African Rift Valley, the mountain features three volcanic cones: Kibo, Shira, and Mawenzi. The last volcanic activity occurred about 200 years ago, shaping Kibo, which remains dormant while Shira and Mawenzi are extinct. At its highest point is Uhuru Peak.
