  •  On the first day of your 8 Days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will be picked up by your safari guide from Munda Africa Adventure and brief you about the safari, from your hotel in Kampala or from Entebbe international airport and driven to the western part of Uganda. You will stop for lunch on the way in Mbarara town at Igongo cultural centre to taste on African organic food and then after proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is one of the most popular savanna parks in Uganda. It is also known as the “Pearl of Africa” because of the tree-climbing lions and large number of crocodiles along Kazinga Channel. When you get to the park, you’ll check in at your lodge, eat dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park’s Kasenyi fields and boat ride on Kazinga channel.

  • On the second day of your 8 Days Uganda Rwanda safari, get up early for breakfast and then meet your safari driver guide for a game drive in kasenyi plains, which is the most beautiful part of Queen Elizabeth National Park and home to a lot of wildlife. On a game drive, you might see elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, antelopes, Uganda kobs, and other animals. As soon as the game drive is over, you’ll go back to the lodge for lunch. In the late afternoon, you’ll be driven to the Kazinga channel, where you’ll spend the rest of the day on a cruise that will give you some great views. Be ready to see a lot of different animals, such as crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and a lot of water birds. After the boat cruise go back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drive in Ishasha, then move to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

  •  On the third day of your 8 Days Uganda Rwanda safari. Get up early in the morning and take a hearty breakfast. Then, check out with a packed lunch and head with your safari driver to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park, where you will enjoy a thrilling game drive in a place where tree-climbing lions live. During a game drive, you will see a lot of other animals, like elephants, Uganda kobs, lions, and other mammals that are exciting in this part of the park. After the game drive, you can have a packed lunch or go to a nearby hotel in the Ishasha sector for a hot meal. Then, you’ll leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the far southwest of Uganda, in the Kisoro district. Plan to get to the park late at night, have dinner served, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable national park

  • On the fourth day of your 8 Days Uganda Rwanda safari. Wake up early in the morning, you’ll have an early breakfast and then be driven to the park offices for a briefing before you start looking for a habituated mountain gorilla family in the impenetrable forest of Bwindi. On this day, all you need to do to enjoy this adventurous trek is to be in good shape, bring snacks and water, and wear your best gorilla trekking gear. This area is home to the largest number of still-living endangered mountain gorillas in the world. The whole trek will take between 30 minutes to 6 hours, based on how fast the trekkers move and how fast the gorillas move. Once the gorillas are found you will spend an hour with gorillas watching them feed, play, taking their pictures, recording their videos. And after one hour you will go back to the starting point and get a certificate at the park’s offices before going back to your lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 5: Get a ride to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park.

  • On the fifth day of your 8 Days Uganda Rwanda safari. Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast then check out and start the trip from Uganda to cross into Rwanda via Cyanika border where you will be cleared and get a Rwanda visa if you didn’t buy an East African visa. In Rwanda, you can see beautiful rising hills, meet local Rwandese people, and see many other things that are different from what you can see in Uganda. There is a big difference between two East African countries that are close to each other. After crossing the border, you will have lunch and then after lunch you’ll be driven to Volcanoes National Park, where you’ll check in, for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Mountain gorilla trekking Rwanda in Volcanoes national park.

  • On the sixth day of your 8 Days Uganda Rwanda safari. You have a second gorilla trek, this time in Rwanda, the land of a thousand hills. Get up early in the morning and have breakfast, and meet your safari guide. This will start with a briefing at Kiningi park offices in the morning, and then the search for gorillas in their natural environments will begin. When mountain gorillas are at least 7m away, you can always count on having to wait an hour. But if you’ve already seen gorillas in Uganda and don’t want to see them again in Rwanda, there are a lot of other things you can do, such as Golden monkey trekking, Volcano hike, Dian Fossey’s grave hike, and more. Just tell us what exercise you’d like to do the most.

Day 7: Transfer to Gisenyi.

  • On the seventh day of your 8 day Uganda and Rwanda safari, you’ll have breakfast, then check out and drive from Volcanoes National Park Kiningi/Ruhengeri to Gisenyi along the shores of Lake Kivu, where you’ll stay for lunch and spend the rest of the day. You can swim, take a boat cruise, or a nature walk through the beach, among other things. You can also just relax and take in the beautiful view of the islands and Mount Nyiragongo and enjoy the cool air. In the late evening, go back to the lodge for dinner, overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali for departures.

  •  Today is the last day of your 8 days Uganda and Rwanda safari. You will be taken to Kigali. After a relaxed breakfast on the beach of Lake Kivu, you’ll check out and be driven from Gisenyi to Kigali. On the way, you’ll stop at memorials to the genocide in Gisenyi and other interesting places. When you get to Kigali, you will have lunch and then go on a Kigali city tour, which is one of the things you should never miss on a Rwanda tour. You will then be dropped off at Kigali international airport for your flight home.

End of the safari.
