On the first day of your 3-day Uganda Gorilla Habituation Safari from Kigali, your guide will pick you up from either your Kigali hotel or Kigali International Airport and provide a briefing on the safari. You’ll then head to a local hotel for lunch before continuing your journey across the Cyanika border into Uganda.

From there, you'll be driven directly to the Rushaga sector in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you can check into your lodge and freshen up. In the evening, embark on a cultural tour of the nearby Batwa communities. Engage with the Batwa, who once lived in the forest before being relocated, and learn about their traditional way of life and their past interactions with the gorillas. Enjoy their performances, explore local crafts, and experience the unique culture. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

On the second day of your 3-day Uganda Gorilla Habituation Safari from Kigali, start with an early breakfast at your lodge. Prepare for a day in the mountain gorillas' habitat by bringing sufficient water and a packed lunch. Dress in suitable attire, including light, water-resistant hiking boots, long sleeves, sunglasses, a cap, gardening gloves, and insect repellent.

Your safari guide will then take you to a briefing where you'll learn about gorillas, the dos and don’ts of habituation, and other essential details. After the briefing, you'll join a group consisting of four habituated people, armed rangers, local guides, and researchers to search for an unhabituated gorilla family still undergoing the habituation process, which typically lasts two to three years.

During this process, you will help the gorillas become accustomed to human presence, making future treks easier. You'll follow the gorillas as they engage in their daily activities, such as feeding, playing, and interacting, including any conflicts among multiple silverbacks. After four hours of this immersive experience, you'll meet your safari driver and return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

On the third day of your 3-day Uganda Gorilla Habituation Safari from Kigali, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out of the lodge. Meet your safari driver and begin the journey back to Kigali, with a lunch stop along the way.

Upon arrival in Kigali, embark on a city tour that highlights the city's key attractions, including memorials dedicated to the victims of the 1994 genocide, craft shops, and Kimironko Market. After the tour, you'll be dropped off at either your Kigali hotel or Kigali International Airport, depending on your travel plans.
