On the first day of your 4-day Gorilla Trekking and Bisoke Hiking Safari, you will be picked up at 8:00 a.m. from your hotel in Kigali by a representative from Munda Africa Adventure. The day begins with a guided city tour of Kigali, where you'll explore its vibrant culture and history. Highlights include visits to the poignant Genocide Memorials, local places of worship, and craft shops that offer insight into the Rwandan way of life. After the tour, enjoy a leisurely lunch in Kigali before embarking on a scenic drive to Kiningi. Upon arrival in the evening, you’ll check into your lodge in Volcanoes National Park. Relax over dinner and prepare for the exciting gorilla trek awaiting you the next day.

On the second day of your 4-day Gorilla Trekking and Bisoke Hiking Safari, start the day early with a hearty breakfast. Dress in your best trekking gear and prepare a packed lunch, water, and snacks from the lodge. Your safari driver will take you to Kiningi for a pre-trek briefing at the park headquarters. Once the briefing is complete, you'll be guided by local experts and armed park rangers as you venture into the dense forest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. Upon encountering these majestic creatures, you’ll have an hour to observe them in their natural habitat, capturing unforgettable moments and photos. Afterward, you'll trek back to the park’s headquarters, where your driver will be waiting to return you to the lodge. In the evening, you have the option to visit the Iby’wacu Cultural Village to immerse yourself in Rwandan culture, or simply relax at the park. If you opt for the cultural tour, ensure you're back at the lodge in time for dinner.

On the third day of your 4-day Gorilla Trekking and Bisoke Hiking Safari, you will start the day with an early breakfast before packing your lunch and ensuring you have plenty of water for the adventure ahead. Your driver will take you back to the park headquarters for a pre-hike briefing before beginning the ascent of Mount Bisoke, one of the dormant volcanoes in Volcanoes National Park. Accompanied by fellow trekkers and experienced park rangers, the hike will take approximately 4 to 5 hours to reach the summit, where you will be rewarded with the stunning sight of a crater lake. After taking in the breathtaking views and surrounding landscapes, the descent will take about 2 to 3 hours, leading you back to the starting point. From there, your driver will return you to the lodge, where you can unwind, enjoy dinner, and settle in for an overnight stay.

On the fourth and final day of your 4-day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Bisoke Hiking Safari, you'll start with a morning breakfast. Depending on the time of your departure flight, you may opt for an additional adventure by trekking to see the playful golden monkeys or embark on a half-day hike to visit Dian Fossey’s grave, paying tribute to her conservation work. Afterward, you will check out of the lodge and be driven directly to Kigali International Airport for your flight or be dropped off at a location of your choice in Kigali, marking the end of your unforgettable safari experience.
