On the fourth day of your 8-day Uganda Primates Safari, your driver-guide will pick you up from the lodge after an early breakfast and take you on an exciting game drive through the Kasenyi Plains. Here, you'll have the chance to see elephants, waterbucks, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and bushbucks, as well as predators like lions and leopards. You'll also spot a variety of bird species, including cattle egrets, raptors, Hadada ibis, Pied crows, and black kites. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a stunning boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The 2 to 3-hour cruise offers views of hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, as well as elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and warthogs along the shoreline. You'll also see numerous waterbirds, including cormorants, hornbills, kingfishers, hamerkops, Egyptian geese, pelicans, and fish eagles. After the boat cruise, return to the lodge for a relaxing evening, dinner, and an overnight stay.
