Best time to visit Lake Mburo national park

Lake Mburo national park can be visited year-round, though the best time is during the dry season in the months of June, July, August, September, December, January, and February. During this time, there is little or no rainfall in the park, so the access roads, nature walk, and game drive tracks are dry and passable, making game drives easier than during the rainy season when the trails are muddy and slippery.

How to get to Lak Mburo national park

Lake Mburo national park is located in the western portion of Uganda and is accessible by road from Kampala via Masaka, Mbarara, and the park headquarters, which takes approximately four to five hours in a safari vehicle.

Lake Mburo national park is also accessible via scheduled or charter flights with Aero link Uganda to the Mbarara aerodrome, followed by a road connection to the park headquarters.
